Up, Up and Away
The KoN were only too pleased to make themselves available for the hand over of cheques worth over £1200 to the Notts and Linc Air Ambulance charity on Jan 28th.
Nottingham Brewery kindly donated 10p for every pint of 'Knights T'ail'sold, the brew specially made to celebrate the start of a new sponsorship deal. Originally available through Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem it proved such a popular tipple that it was given an extended run. The Plough at Radford, where Nottingham Brewery is based, also raised over £600 through their efforts over Christmas.

And the Winner is?
War Horse, the latest Steven Speilberg film that features stunt work by the Knights of Nottingham, has been given 6 nomennees for this years Oscars! Released on Christmas Day in the US and on the 13th of January in the UK, it is proving a box office smash and will be a serious contender for this years Best Movie.

KoN to Unveil Sponsorship Brew!
To mark the first year of the new sponsorship deal with Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem and the Nottingham Brewery, the KoN will be making a special appearance at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem on the 8th of October at 1pm to unveil a new ale that has been created for the occasion. To find out what the ale is called and more important what it tastes like, come down to the Trip and meet the KoN in person. Bring your camera and bag yourself a Knight!

Run for your Wife!
Not only did the sun come out on queue for the two shows at Stanhope, but the Black Knight of all people made the finals of the wife carrying race!
Another great crowd came out to cheer on Roxborough and his men in his quest to defeat the Black Knights camp. It looked as though evil really was going to be the winner on the day, but in true dramatic fashion, when all looked lost, Roxborough found the strength needed to leave the Black Knight wishing he had stayed in Nottingham.
The Black Knight however proved he had hidden depths and actually made it to the finals of the wife carrying race, even if he did have to kidnap a 'wife' to compete.

Road to Rome
Arbeia Roman Fort in Tyne & Wear opened its gates to receive the KoN
and a fantastic day was had by one and all. An enthusiastic and vocal crowd was in fine form and even the Black Knight seemed to have a good following. The loudest cheers were saved for Drunken Sir Frederick who, despite being his usual drunk and abusive self managed to stay in the saddle for most of the time. There is a distinct possibility that his squire had tied him on, but there is nothing in the rules that says this can't be done
