All hail the sun at Hosefest
Amidst one of, the wettest starts to 'summer' to date, amazingly the sun shone over Hosefest and it was a glorious day weather wise, whilst not 5 miles away people were still experiencing the wrath of the wet stuff. The KoN always deliver when humanly possible and today was no exception. We even mowed the grass in the arena before we could set things up and there was still surface water visible before the first show. Safety for the horses and public is always a priority and after careful consideration we gave the thumbs up and we were good to go. Due to sound system challenges, incredibly the commentary had to be delivered from a point about 100 yards away with a bouncy castle in between the line of view! Nothing stops the KoN....when people book we deliver!

A weekend for George to remember
One of the busiest St Georges weekend to date saw him parade into
Nottingham with the armed forces on the Saturday, followed by an appearance
at our favorite watering hole Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, then on to Monday, when on his true Saints Day, he headed up a parade organized by the Royal Society of St George into the town square, followed by an extended appearance at Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem. Then to top off the day he made a guest appearance at the Lion in Basford, where Nottingham Brewery were launching a new beer called Knights Blonde....needless to say, a number of his troop were there to help him with the supping of ale...hard life!

Brill at Brid
First show of the season and with kit freshly polished and horses clipped, what a way to start the year! Weather behaved itself and the crowd were brilliant as ever. Nice to see so many familiar faces, who seemed to like our new line up, as we gave some of the up and coming knights the chance to play some key roles. Thanks to everyone who came and to the Sewerby Hall staff who were first class with their assistance and provision of after melee food!

Up, Up and Away
The KoN were only too pleased to make themselves available for the hand over of cheques worth over £1200 to the Notts and Linc Air Ambulance charity on Jan 28th.
Nottingham Brewery kindly donated 10p for every pint of 'Knights T'ail'sold, the brew specially made to celebrate the start of a new sponsorship deal. Originally available through Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem it proved such a popular tipple that it was given an extended run. The Plough at Radford, where Nottingham Brewery is based, also raised over £600 through their efforts over Christmas.
